[/quote:bn24c9ez]After logging in, go to User Control Panel > Board Preferences > Edit posting defaults and un-check 'Notify me upon replies by default'. This will change your default response for all topics you post to. You can selectively turn this off, as you noted, by un-checking the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' box that appears beneath each 'Message body' box when you're composing a post. Finally, you can unsubscribe from individual topics by clicking the 'Unsubscribe topic' link that appears just above the first post in all topics you are subscribing to.

Yup! Need to only type 3 letters of my sign-in, click, I'm in. This, btw, is much nicer than a few sites I used to visit, and is an improvement overall to the site itself. Sorry to those who feel that it's cumbersome, but my feedback is that the 'new' site works well, and best of all, connects to the "history" of the old site without leaving those posts behind in cyberland. Nice job Adam!

I fixed the server's emailing problem yesterday so members should now be receiving 'Topic reply notifications' when a subscribed thread gets a new post. Since the pharma-spammers jumped right in when I disabled emailed registration confirmations I'm going to try turning them back on now, but I'll also be keeping an eye on stalled registrations and manually activating sign-ups when necessary (sorry discount_viagra, not you).

Due to ongoing problems and complaints concerning unreceived emails, I have disabled that portion of Ncdsa's new member registration process. This leaves the site protected from forum spammers by only a CAPTCHA test. If you registered in the last few weeks and are still awaiting your confirmation email, please try logging in now as I recently manually confirmed dozens of pending accounts. Email me if you can't remember your Username, and please include the email address you used to register with.

It seems new registrants are continuing to have difficulty receiving our server's confirmation email, so I'm continuing to manually activate new accounts. If you have recently registered and are still awaiting the promised confirmation email, try logging in anyway as I probably activated your account by hand.

It'll take time to get familiar with how the pages work, but already, I've noticed that there's no 'lurkers', no jive from outside, just the humor, truth, comraderie and wisdom-based opinions I've seen from previous years.  Of course, I like the smilie icons, wish that Kludy had those in past years, but, hey,  is a demeanor needed to tackle the hills he sk8s!  Adam, nice stuff! This why I mention this site to various Youth I encounter in my adventures as a 'former' Snowboard Instructor. Advice to the next generation about how "it" works (The 'it' being soulriding on a skateboard!) is invaluable. Being fairly sure that a positive vibe will be mostly present is also beyond the probability of Amazing. Yet, here it is!

There you'll find all the posts from that page in a large, scrollable text box titled Topic Review.
